About me

Francesco Gurnari was born in 1963 in Calabria.

His path began with training as a painter in the construction trade, which allowed him to earn a living while at the same time nurturing a persistent sense of dissatisfaction and a need for inner development.

Encounters and experiences enabled him to grow further — through studies and apprenticeships in the restoration of old paintings as well as in decorative painting.

After many years dedicated to restoration and decorative work, he felt the need to free himself from external constraints in order to devote himself fully to artistic painting.

Today, his work unfolds as an intuitive search, guided by deep emotions and free from premeditation.
